Unitary patents will be available from when the UPC Agreement comes into force, which is currently planned for 1st June 2023. From 1st January 2023, the EPO is accepting requests to delay grant of an application until after the UPC Agreement comes into force, and is also accepting early requests for unitary effect. The questions in this portal take this new development into account.
